Finding-the-Path: Lower extremity vascular ultrasound

Documenting a lower extremity deep venous thrombosis would raise the suspicion for a pulmonary embolus but a normal study does not exclude the diagnosis.

CT of the chest
Ventilation-perfusion (V/Q) scintigraphy
Pulmonary angiogram
MRI of lower extremity
