Algorithm for Testicular Torsion

1. Scrotal ultrasound with Doppler to evaluate blood flow to the testicle and epididymis
2. Radionuclide testicular flow study if ultrasound is equivocal or to evaluate patients with delayed presentation in whom missed testicular torsion is suspected.
