Algorithm for Renal Trauma

1. Emergency excretory urography in unstable patient prior to laparotomy.
2. Excretory urography in stable patient with isolated flank trauma.
3. Contrast-enhanced abdominal and pelvic CT in patient with suspected major renal trauma or multivisceral injuries.
4. Renal arteriogram following CT to evaluate suspected vascular injury.
