Finding-the-Path: Case 23
History
A 27-year-old woman is brought to the emergency room after being hit by a car. She was placed in a cervical collar at the scene. She is alert and oriented and denies any head trauma or loss of consciousness. On physical exam, her BP is 100/70 mmHg and her pulse is 100. Her abdomen is mildly distended and is diffusely tender. Her neurological exam is normal. Initial blood tests reveal hematocrit of 32%.
Radiographs of the chest, pelvis and lateral cervical spine (in the collar) are unremarkable.
