42 y/o woman, hypercalcemia, elevated parathyroid

Presentation

A 42-year-old woman presented with hypercalcemia and elevated parathyroid hormone.

Imaging Technique

Parathyroid Scintigraphy: The patient was injected with 18 mCi of Tc-99m Sestamibi. Fifteen minutes later, an anterior cervicothoracic view was obtained using a low energy, high resolution, parallel hole ollimator.

Repeat images were obtained at 3 hours post injection. Both initial and delayed views were acquired for ten minutes.
