Finding-the-Path: MRI and MRA of the brain
MRI/MRA (magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography) is the procedure of choice only if it is immediately available and easily accessible. CT is otherwise an acceptable alternative which is often available within or adjacent to the emergency room. In our hospital, CT is therefore obtained as the first imaging study in patients suspected of stroke.
