Nothing on this World Wide Web site should be considered medical advice. Only your own doctor can help you make decisions about your medical care. It is not the policy of the Brigham and Women's Hospital Department of Radiology to provide consultation on the World Wide Web or via e-mail. If you have a specific medical question or are seeking medical care, please call the Brigham and Women's Hospital toll-free physician referral line at 1-800-294-9999.
All materials are copyrighted by Brigham and Women's Hospital.
If you would like to point to any of these materials from your WWW page, please feel free. But please do LINK to the original documents, rather than copying and serving from your local site.
Exception: The Department of Radiology does permit mirroring of BrighamRAD. Requests regarding the development of mirror sites are reviewed and judged on a case-by-case basis.
Portions of this work may be individually downloaded, copied, and cited for the personal and educational purposes of individuals and organizations in their work, provided that proper attribution and context are given.
Commercial reproduction or multiple distribution of any kind is prohibited.
A mirror site is intended to be an exact "replica" of an existing web site. The main purpose for creating a mirror site is to improve access in remote locations. For example, it may be faster for a user in Spain to access a BrighamRAD mirror site hosted on a server in Europe than to access the "official" host server in Boston, Mass.
However, mirror sites are not necessarily authorized or sanctioned by the hosts of the original site. They often become outdated. Furthermore, files downloaded for mirroring can be altered by mirror hosts. If you suspect that a page is outdated or has been altered, please check the URL in the location bar of your browser. The official URL should be listed at the bottom of each page. Only pages served from the official site will have URLs that match. (NOTE: In the case of teaching files, the URL of the search page, http://brighamrad.harvard.edu/education/online/tcd/tcd.html, is given.) The Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital can only guarantee the timeliness and integrity of official pages.
If you would like to create a BrighamRAD mirror site, please contact the BrighamRAD Design Team. Please identify your organization, the purpose for creating a new mirror site, and the location of the proposed host server. You will be asked to sign an agreement stating your intention (1) to maintain an up-to-date mirror of the site and (2) to respect the integrity of the BrighamRAD home site.
