HMPAO-MRI overlay

Tl-MRI overlay

  • MRI: Changes secondary to radiation treatment. Signal enhancement in the region of the tumor bed is suspicious for tumor recurrence.
  • Thallium SPECT: Intense focus of thallium uptake in deep right temporal lobe.
  • Tc-99m HMPAO SPECT: Hyperemia corresponding to Tl-201 uptake in temporal lobe. There is a second focus of hyperemia in the left anterior temporal cortex without corresponding Tl-201 uptake.

    Impression
  • Metastatic tumor focus.
  • Anterior temporal hyperemia may represent silent seizure focus.
