- Extensive perfusion defects involving the left cerebral
hemisphere as well as left cerebellum.
Differential diagnosis:
- Chronic fatigue syndrome *
- Large vessel disease
* Usually chronic fatigue syndrome presents with multiple
scattered perfusion defects.
Large vessel disease is unlikely, however, because the defects
involve multiple vascular territories and because the
ipsilateral cerebellum is involved.
