Differential diagnosis:

  1. Pick's disease (rare and requires histopathology for confirmation).
  2. Vascular dementia (requires CT and MR correlation).
  3. Dementia of the frontal type.
  4. Alzheimer's disease (unusual distribution but possible).
  5. Progressive supranuclear palsy (accompanied by ocular signs and basal ganglia involvement).
