- Perfusion defect involving left frontal and temporal lobes.
Differential diagnosis:
- Pick's disease (rare and requires histopathology for
confirmation).
- Vascular dementia (requires CT and MR correlation).
- Dementia of the frontal type.
- Alzheimer's disease (unusual distribution but possible).
- Progressive supranuclear palsy (accompanied by ocular signs
and basal ganglia involvement).
