- Decreased perfusion to posterior frontal and anterior
temporal lobes.
- Other cortical structures show homogenous uptake of the
radiotracer.
Differential Diagnosis:
- Pick's disease (rare, but highly likely with CT findings and
history)
- Alzheimer's disease (unusual location, but possible)
- Dementia of the frontal type
- Progressive supra nuclear palsy (ocular signs are almost
always present)
- Vascular dementia (CT findings usually show a previous stroke)
