Puneet Chandak, M.D. graduated from the University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India in 1988. He trained in Clinical Nuclear Medicine from the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), New Delhi and trained in Medical Informatics at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands in 1993-94, and at the Decision Systems Group, under the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) from 1994 through 1996. He then joined us here at the Department of Radiology, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, as junior faculty, and worked on projects related to Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Medical Informatics. His work here was targeted towards the development of Internet and CD-ROM based medical educational resources and he designed, programmed and co-authored Atlas of Brain Perfusion SPECT, Atlas of Myocardial Perfusion SPECT, and Atlas of Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging. His other projects included "Endoscopic Spine Surgery", a CD-ROM based digital textbook in minimally invasive orthopedic spine surgery; a bilingual digital-video based interactive educational CD-ROM on breast feeding; and an authoring tool for generating Web based teaching files. He was an active member of our PartnerWeb development team, and still continues to help us with BrighamRAD.

Dr. Chandak then moved on to complete an internship in from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, followed by residency training in Nuclear Medicine from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and fellowship training in Positron Emission Tomography (PET). He is now involved in the practice of Clinical Nuclear Medicine and PET Imaging.
